About Us
I grew up a passionate, curious person who gradually became a passionate, curious mover, learner, and performer. I use dance and music not only as storytelling tools but also as ways to explore healing and self-expression. I am drawn to movement that begins internally, using intention, sensation, or breath to facilitate a gradual expansion into performance. My choreography is contemporary, infused with modern, ballet, and Latin influences, and it portrays authenticity, guided by somatic awareness, musicality, and (very) expressive qualities.
My upbringing as a half-Peruvian, half-Cuban daughter of immigrant parents and the importance of my culture and identity shape how I experience rhythm and fuel my passion. I am interested in how culture and memories can live within our bodies and how that influences people to carry their own emotional histories. “The body is a map.” I am drawn to things that feel spiritual and holistic, and I see how movement creates space for vulnerability, play, and reconnecting with the body. All in all, I'm interested in how movement supports mental health and physical/emotional well-being.
Creating choreography feels important to me because we should all use our voices however we can. Dance is a place where I can process emotions, and I care deeply about sharing movement with others through teaching or therapy. I want to work with people of all ages, creating a space where we can all feel safe, express ourselves, and release our emotions. I am, and always have been, very passionate about performing, and I hope to continue moving audiences through my storytelling, allowing them to glimpse their own lived experiences in my work.

I teach movement as a therapeutic and holistic approach that promotes joy, connection, and mental well-being. I work with individuals of all ages and skill levels, providing clear instructions, flexible exercises, and a nurturing setting where each person can progress at their own speed. I teach in a way that makes movement accessible, intelligible, and interesting for all students because I am neurodivergent and recognize that people process information differently. My classes encourage students to explore their bodies with curiosity, passion, and grounding by combining play and focus. I respect the various histories and identities that students bring to the classroom and value cultural sensitivity. By using movement as a tool for healing, expression, and deep connection, I hope to make people feel safe, seen, and empowered.
